The Ride
Motorcycles have been a passion of mine since I first rode on the back of my best friends Honda Superhawk back in High School. One cruise around the block and I was addicted. He hopped on behind me and taught me how to ride it, and once I started, I couldn't get enough!!! Being that age, my parents wouldn't allow me to get a bike, but I would go ride my friends bike every chance I got. When I was old enough, I moved out, and bought my first bike: a 2006 Yamaha Fazer 600, brand new, off the lot. My parents, as you would guess, were tickled to discover that I had bought her. Despite paying way too much, and despite making the mistake of having a new bike for my first bike, it was love. I put 20,000 miles on her before I traded her in for my current ride, a (used) 2006 Honda CBR1000rr. Which I also love. Anyone who really rides will understand what I mean when I say riding is an addiction. There is nothing as exhilarating as feeling the wind against your face and leaning hard into a curve, nothing. And there is nothing like the adrenaline rush of flying as fast as your bike will take you, praying no cop is up for that 150+mph chase. And there is nothing on earth as exciting as pulling one of those wheels off the ground and practically levitating... There isn't one thing not to love about motorcycles, no matter which kind you call your own. After all, life is never about the destination, it's about the ride...
